A Dash of Encouragement

Interrupting my moment of serenity at the beach to bring you this lovely encouragement I came across on instagram by a friend who munched it off Facebook. LOL at least social networks have a tiny bit of positive impacts in our lives.

By Alicia Diy Pryncess

"... Let someone love you just the way you are. As flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel & as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window & illuminating a dark room.."

With encouragements like this, the sound of crashing waves and the beautiful scenery in front of me I see no reason why I shouldn't be having a good day today.

Long Time No Post

I am soo sorry for the hiatus from blogging. I actually took some time off blogging and now I'm on the most fabulous vacation in Barbados.

It's such a natural beauty, I really wish everyone in the world could come pay a visit; it's beautiful and peaceful. Waking up to the beach view everyday calms me and starts my day right, plus the breakfast at Hilton is a plus. LOL. Anyways I will be back with pictures and more posts soon as I'm back to London. Heard it's bleak and cold down there *brrrrrr*

Case of the ex

I see her everywhere I turn
I see her in everything, every move, every action, every thought
She's haunting me
She's teasing me
She's laughing at me

She's in his eyes
I see her when he looks at me
When he talks I can hear memories of her
When he's lost in thoughts
She's the one he's thinking of
She's there

She's always there
She's in his world
She was his world
And would always be his world
And if that be it
Then what am I?

Are you what you eat?

As I sat in this restaurant and waited patiently for my meal to arrive at a friends send off dinner I found that I was bored. Even though I was with friends. Why? Well remember the technology addiction I was talking about? Turns out I'm not the only one with phone issues. So there's four of us at the table. Everyone completely engrossed in whatever was soo important it had to tramp friendship time. Anyways being the blogger/writer that I am I decided to make good use of such time and people watch.

You know the saying "you are what you eat"? Well next time you find yourself in a restaurant, waiting for your order to arrive, try looking around at what everyone's eating and imagining them being what they eat in the literal sense. Hilarious I tell you. Well maybe not for you but I did find it pretty funny when I imagined the boy beside me as a prawn. Okay maybe it's not that funny and I'm just really hungry....
