The Perfect View

It's cliche but inescapable. It isn't a complete NYC visit if you don't go to the Empire State Building for the perfect view you get over the city. It's a wonderful ending to a date cause it is actually romantic being up there with someone you love. Piece of advice DO NOT GO WHEN IT IS COLD. Cause the higher you go, the colder it becomes. I was FREEZING when I took this pictures so some might be pretty rubbish and not as many as you would love but you have to take it as it is.

Some interesting facts about the Empire State:
  • It took eleven months to complete the building. At that rate, it took a day to complete a floor. Amazing right? I wonder how long it would take in Nigeria *side eye*
  • William Lamb based the design of the ESB on the outline of a pencil *yup, I know*
  • The ESB is illuminated in various colours to celebrate holidays and special events. There was one for Valentine's Day, Easter, New Years Eve, 4th of July, Frank Sinatra, the Golden Jubilee, Eid al Fitr and so many more.
  • Because of the curvature of the earth, sunrise occurs about half an hour earlier at the top of the building than at street level. Sunset occurs about a half hour later *how cool is that*
Enough facts for now, more pictures
